The Commission Chronicles
Chapter 24: Revertion.

Matt, Jared and I contemplated an attack plan late on into the night. And as a result, I discovered that Latias wasn't particularly fond of sitting around planning.

“Are you ever going to finish this??” She asked, sounding quite bored. I sighed and looked over at her. “Yes Latias, we just have to figure out a good way to surprise the P.A.O. That part is essential if we plan on beating them-” I noticed Matt and Jared watching me curiously.

I rolled my eyes. “We can communicate telepathically.” I said. “I was responding to her question about how much longer that we'd be spending doing this.”

Matt just slowly nodded. “Riiigghht...” Once again, it was time for the eye rolling. “Well if Latias wants us to stop, then I suppose we could.” Jared said. “I know I think much better when I'm rested up.”

Matt looked disappointed, but agreed due to the logic behind the decision. Being that we hadn't finished the plan, we all decided to let Matt and Jared stay at the house so they wouldn't have to fly to Kincheloe and back just to finish our plan.

Latias and I bid them goodnight, and headed to the basement. Being that I was now a 10 foot, 3 inch long and 9 foot, 4 inch wide flying creature. I was pretty darn sure I would no longer fit in my room.

We put a mattress on the floor and lay down. I then looked over at Latias. “Hey.” I said. “Do you think it was a good idea to tell the military guys about all this?”

She looked over at me. “I’m sure they’re fine. Besides, the only thing I’ve seen the P.A.O. do so far is just point and shoot. They don’t bother with sneaky tactics.”

I shook my head. “No, don’t you remember Allan?” Her eyes widened. “Oh yeah… Him…”

     Awkward silence.

“Well, we should at least keep our eye on them for the time being.” I said. “The P.A.O. is desperate to get me. And they’ll use whatever means they can to get the Guidecrystal.” Latias just nodded slowly, and soon all I heard was the soft sound of her breathing.

5 hours, 37 minutes later: The P.A.O. compound, deep Canadian wilderness

Tannor walked into Gravely’s office. A fake smile across his face. He was just giving the false impression of being pleased with the project’s progression. He was actually disgusted.

Gravely turned around in his chair. He was not faking a smile.

“Well?” He asked. “We have twenty units online, and about 10 more being added every hour.” Tannor said.

“Good, Then I can expect a hundred in eight hours?” Gravely asked. “Yes.” Tannor replied.

“I want Three hundred.” Gravely told him. He smiled as he watched Tannor’s mouth drop open.

“Three hundred?!” Tannor exclaimed. “W-What are you planning on doing?!”

Gravely’s smile disappeared. “I will tell you when I want to Tannor.” He said menacingly. “That is all.”

Tannor took a hint and left, he couldn’t believe what he had heard. “Three hundred?!” He thought. “There’s only one reason why he would order that many…

…He’s going to launch an attack.”

2 Hours later: The Snider household

It seemed a rather long time for the voice to show up this time. Generally it started jabbering right when I fell asleep.

“Hello again…” It said. “Oh hey, took ya long enough.” I replied. “Yes, well that is because of what I am about to tell you…” I stopped chuckling. “What?”

“This is something that you need to know. I am not sure why I failed to inform you of it before…” I was really confused now. “Ok, what are you talking about?”

“This is about the Guidecrystal.” It said. “The Guidecrystal holds immense power, and this power is fed to you only enough that it gives you great strength so you can protect Crystoldia. It’s evenly distributed.” I was listening, wondering why the heck it was telling me this.

</i>“The Guidecrystal was never meant to release all of it’s power in one short timeframe. And no, before you ask. You never did this. But doing so is in fact possible… However, you must make sure that you NEVER enter this phase!”</i>

I was taken aback by the severity of the voice. “Whoa, uhh… Okay?” I just stared a nothing. “If you don’t mind me asking, why is it so important that I never enter this said, ‘phase’?” I asked.

“You will lose control of everything.” It replied. “Not only will you use all the power of the Guidecrystal, but you shall also draw power from Crystoldia itself. This will prolong your condition. Enabling you to cause an incomprehensible level of damage.”

“Uhhh… Okay…” I said. “This is obviously an important subject, so how do I avoid the phase? Being that I really don’t want to cause an incomprehensible level of damage.”

“Your temper is a key factor in this.” The voice said. “Learn self-control as best you can.” I just nodded. “Okay. Though, I have a question. Why do I need to? I don’t really have an explosive temper at all.”

“Is preparedness not a good thing to have?” Is all the voice said. And it pretty much nullified my argument.

The dream then started to fade as I wondered about this ‘phase’ that I had been strictly warned of. I was curious to know more about it, but I had no intention of ever experiencing it. Not after that description.

I woke up to find Latias rolled off the mattress laying on the floor sleeping. I also noted the silly grin on her face. “Must be an interesting dream.” I thought as I stretched and got up.

I looked over at the clock, 10:23 am. “Man, I slept in!” I said as I prepared to head upstairs. I was then promptly tackled by Latias who had woken up from my talking.

“Wha-?!” –Thump!- I looked up at Latias, who was sitting on top of me giggling. “Well good morning to you too Latias…” I said as I flipped her off of me.

She flew backwards and I caught her, smiling down at her. She stared at the floor where I had just been, and then back at me. Just blinking.

“I think you’ve gotten faster…” She said as I grinned and let her go. “Is that so?” I asked.

“Yep.” She said. “Maybe someday you’ll be fast enough to keep track of me though.” She winked and I just rolled my eyes.

“Say, I’m hungry.” I said. “And you know what? It’s been a long time since I’ve had my unhealthies!” I grinned as I saw her face twist in disgust.

“Those things are gonna kill you before anything else!” Latias said as we headed upstairs.

Matt and Jared were already up and sitting on the couch, looking down at the laptop and map. They obviously were eager to continue planning, cause when they saw me, they tried to get me to come over.

“Nope!” I said. “Right now is breakfast time. Food first. Plan later.” They just stared at me as I grinned and continued to the kitchen.

I pulled out the bag on unhealthies and poured myself a bowl of them. Latias however was looking through the fridge, seeing what we had in the way of meat.

I started eating while Latias found our leftover steaks. I knew it was futile to keep her from eating those. So I just left her alone about it.

“Remember that time when you first gave me these?” She asked as a dreamy look drifted into her eyes. I just chuckled. “Yeah, I thought you were going to kill yourself from downing them so fast!”

We both chuckled a bit, and I noticed Matt and Jared looking over their shoulders at me.

“Whut?” I mumbled through a large mouthful. “I just can’t quite get used to you talking to it.” Matt said.

Latias glared at him. “Tell him I’m not an IT!” She telepathically said. I rolled my eyes and swallowed my food. “IT, just happens to be a HER. And SHE really doesn’t like being referred to as an IT either.” I replied to Matt.

“A ‘her’ eh?” Jared said. He and Matt both looked at each other, and then back at us. I could tell what they were thinking.

“Don’t even start that.” I said to them, and turned around. Latias grinned real big. She knew what they were thinking too. And she leaned over and gave me a peck on the cheek.

I just blushed, I could hear Matt and Jared chuckling behind me. “Now you’ve really gone and done it Latias.” I telepathed to her.

“Oh?” She said. “And what may I ask have I done?” I stared over at her smiling face and couldn’t keep the grouchy look on my own.

“Darn you…” I said as I turned around to hide my own smile. Latias, satisfied with her work happily turned back to her steak.

After awhile, we finished eating and headed back over to where Matt and Jared were still planning. “You guys really need to slow down a bit.” I said. “You’re going to fall over dead if you don’t eat anything.”

Matt looked over. “Nah, I’ve gone longer than this without food before.” I just shrugged. “Well too bad for you then. Cause you’re welcome to our fridge.”

“Thanks anyway.” He replied. “Now then, where were we when we left off?” I looked down at the map. “I believe we were planning to route some troops around this ridge…” We continued to talk and plan. Latias however just sighed and sat down.

“Here we go again…” She thought.

“Hey Lateon.” She said. “Hmm?” I looked over at her. “I’m going to go play around outside. That okay?” She asked.

I chuckled, knowing what she meant by it. “All right. Go ahead, I’ll see if I can help get this finished up soon.” She winked at me as she left and I just shook my head.

“Now then, where were we?” Matt said. “I believe we were attempting to figure out how to get anti-aircraft weapons into the extremely mountainous territory.” I responded.

Latias flew outside and headed straight for the woods. “I wanna fly through that ravine again!” She said to herself as she flew right to it.

She grinned as she dashed down and shot through it, swerving back and forth through the twists and turns. Quickly coming to the end, she curved upwards and then back down to do it again.

I looked outside and saw her fly up out of the woods then curve back down. I sighed as I saw her glance back at the house, looking at me.

Just then, a hand poked me drawing me back to the plan at hand. “Huh?” I said as I looked over at Matt.

“Hello? We were planning an attack. Remember?” I just shook my head. “You know what, I can’t think right now. You guys go ahead. I need to go get some fresh air.”

Matt looked over at me perplexed. “Well at least show us what the place looks like.” I sighed again and sat down, picking up a pencil and sheet of paper. Then I closed my eyes and telekinetically sketched what I could remember the P.A.O. complex looking like.

“There you go.” I said as I handed the picture to Matt as he and Jared stared dumfoundedly at it.

I grinned and phased through the wall, heading straight for the woods where Latias was.

I stopped and waited at the end of the ravine where I knew she’d be coming by. And sure enough, there she was. Shooting through it, curving up and back down to do it again.

She didn’t see me floating there, so I took advantage of the chance and flew down beside her as she started the course again.

“Hello Latias.” I said as she totally freaked out. I grabbed her and pulled her away just before she hit a log from her surprise.

We spun through the air a bit. Then she shook her head and looked at me. “You escaped!” She exclaimed as we both laughed.

“Yes I did.” I said. “Now then, I believe we were in the middle of a race?” She grinned and we both shot off into the ravine, swerving around each other and the bends in the creek.

“There just isn’t enough ravine is there?” I said as we curved up and around, preparing to start it all over. “No there isn’t.” Latias replied as she shot off in a different direction, catching me off guard.

“What the?!” I flew off after her, and we arrived at the same spot that we had had a small picnic before I had become Lateon.

Latias was floating there, waiting for me. “Slowpoke.” She said teasingly. “I thought you would have known me better by now.”

I rolled my eyes and tackled her. She looked up at me with surprise. “And I though that YOU would have known ME better.” I said right back to her now pouting face.

I got up and grinned at her. “Why did you bring me back here anyway?” I asked. She just lay down on the grass and looked up at the sky. “That one looks like a Flygon.” She simply said, and I knew exactly what she was doing.

I flew over and lay down next to her, looking up at the sky as well. “Nah, I think it’s a Salamence.” I replied. We both looked at each other and broke out laughing.

She put her left arm over mine after we had settled down. “I missed doing this.” She said. I just looked over at her rather confused. “What do you mean Latias?”

She sighed. “Well before, we were always so busy. Fighting the P.A.O., trying to figure out mysteries and whatnot.” She looked over at me. “We never really had much ‘us’ time.”

I nodded in agreement. “Yeah, I guess you’re right. Too much busy time. Hopefully this will all be resolved soon.” I smiled at her.

She smiled back. “I’m sure it will be… Prophecy fulfiller!” She started giggling as I rolled my eyes. “It’s not a prophecy for heaven’s sake…” I muttered.

We lay there for hours just talking and watching the clouds in the sky. Eventually it started getting dark and I decided it was time to go inside. “Come on Latias.” I said as I pulled her up. “Do we have to?” She whined. I just rolled my eyes as she tried to resist.

Once we got inside, her demeanor had changed quite a bit. I was guessing it was a result of the smell of the chicken soup that mom was cooking.

“Geez!” She exclaimed. “Why didn’t we come in sooner?!” I just chuckled and pulled her away from the kitchen. “It’s not done yet Latias.” I told her. “How about something to keep us occupied until then?” I said as I pulled out the Pokemon Heroes DVD from my closet.

She was immediately interested. We headed downstairs and I put it in the DVD player. Then sitting down next to Latias on the couch.

The movie started, and Latias’ eyes widened when it showed the picture of Altomare. "Th-That’s Altomare!” She exclaimed. “Yes it is Latias.” I responded.

“You don’t understand…” She told me. “That IS Altomare! It looks JUST LIKE IT!” I watched the movie, taking in the detail. “This IS Altomare?” I thought to myself.

We kept watching the movie, and Latias grew more and more interested as it continued. She couldn’t contain herself when Latios and Latias showed up in it.

“Oh my gosh!” She shook me. “IT’S THEM!” I just held her and looked into her eyes. “Am I going to have to stop the movie? Or are you going to watch it?” She just blushed and turned back to the movie.

The movie continued, and I had to hold her during the parts where Latios was in trouble. I was beginning to wonder if showing her the movie was such a good idea.

“Latias?” I said. “I think I need to turn this off. It’s affecting you too much.” She stopped my hand as I reached for the remote. “No…” She said. “Not knowing what happens will be worse.” I just nodded and we kept watching it.

We eventually reached the end, and when Latios died she couldn’t hold back any longer. She just started bawling, and I promptly shut off the TV. I took her in my arms and held her close.

“Sh-sh-sh-sh-sh…” I whispered to her. “Easy, easy, don’t you wor-ry… E-verything will be, okay…” I just sang the song to her slowly, and she started to calm down.

“I’m sorry for showing that movie to you Latias…” I said. “I shouldn’t have done that.”

She just wrapped her arms around me. “No… I’m glad that you did…” I looked down at her. “What do you mean?”

She looked up. “N-Nevermind…” I just sat there as she hugged me, I then noticed a faint smile cross her face. And that’s when I realized that she just wanted to hug me now.

I smiled back and held onto her. Pretty soon Hannah came down and opened the door. “Hey Brad, or whatever you are now. It’s time to ea-” She looked at me curiously as I held Latias, who was still tearing up.

“Uhh, it’s time to eat…” She said. “Okay, I’ll be right up.” I responded as she nodded and headed back up. I looked down at Latias. “You okay?” I asked.

She just shook her head and started crying again. I held her close, singing the song. Twenty minutes later, Hannah came back down and looked rather annoyed.

“Come on! It’s time to…” Latias looked up at her with her large teary eyes. “Uhh…” Hannah said. “Just go ahead and eat.” I told her. “I’ll be up when I can.”

After she left, I turned to Latias. “I don’t think you’re okay. I never should have shown you that movie, and we both know it. I’m sorry…” Latias just leaned over and hugged me tighter. “No… It brought out that really caring side of you… I-I like that…”

I just sat there, dumfounded. Had she just turned this into some kind of hug trap for me? I just shrugged, and I have to admit. I was in a way, enjoying this as well. Eventually she stopped crying, and we both just sat there smiling at each other.

“So…” I said. “How about some food?” Latias just giggled. “I guess I can let you go.” I grinned and phased us up through the floor into the living room. This naturally caused a bit of commotion among the occupants of the room.

“WHOA!” Matt yelled, jumping up and going into a defensive stance. Then relaxing when he saw it was just me. “Dude… Don’t ever do that around me.” I chuckled. “And why not? Are we a scaredy cat?”

He then switched his stance to death stare, which made me laugh all the harder. Latias shook her head and smiled as we both headed into the kitchen, Matt still glaring at me.

“Way to make friends Lateon.” She chuckled as I put the leftovers in the microwave. (By now they had gotten cold of course.) I chuckled and looked over at Matt, who was now back sitting on the couch still planning the attack with Jared.

“Yeah, I just couldn’t resist.” I said as I pulled the food out. “His face was just perfect for a sarcastic comment.” Latias shook her head. “Well sooner or later, somebody’s gonna get the better of you.”

I sat down next to her. “You think so?” She rolled her eyes over at me and gave me a look that just said, “oh please”. I chuckled and took a bite out of my collaboration of food items. I had no idea what was in it, I just stuffed a bunch of stuff together.

Latias looked skeptically at it, then at me. “That’s disgusting looking Lateon.” She said as I chewed with my mouth open. “Why does it seem like you say that about everything that tastes delicious?” I tell her.

“Oh it’s simple really.” She responds as she quickly turns away. “It looks absolutely repulsive.”

I chuckled some more and finished up. Just then I heard Matt. “I think we have it!” I flew over. “Hmm?” He held up the map and showed me the troop movement plans.

“We can bring the tanks through here. But they would be perfect targets for those Gunships. So we’re going to created a distraction with a couple hit-and-runs with F-16’s. They’ll be fast and agile enough to get in and out while still doing damage and creating a distraction.” I watch him through all of this and noticed him getting rather excited.

“Though to keep from endangering the pilots any further. We’ve decided to launch some long range strike missiles to try and lower their number of operational grounded aircraft and create yet more of a distraction.

With many of the ground troops occupied with controlling the fires, we can effectively sneak in tanks and APC’s around the base.” I chuckled and he looked up at me. “What?” I just shook my head. “You really are enjoying this aren’t you?” I asked.

He just rolled his eyes. “I didn’t get where I am now by not being enthusiastic about my job.” I nodded. “Yeah, and it shows. Do we have an estimated date of attack yet?”

He shook his head. “No, we still have to get authorization from the Pentagon for a full fledged assault first. Until then, I think we definitely have enough info for proving a legitimate threat. Don’t expect them to look this one over.” He winked.

“Then I guess you two had better be off.” Matt and Jared nodded. “Get me a phone and we’ll have someone on the way.” I handed Matt the phone and he started dialing.

I turned to Latias. “Looks like we may not be alone in this battle Latias.” She smiled at me. “Well then, that’s just one thing made less worrisome.”

Present time: The P.A.O. compound, deep Canadian wilderness

Tannor looked over the assembly and programming area from the observation deck. What he saw made him sick.

“Why am I still here?” he thought to himself. “I am just assisting this monster in his greedy dream of conquering the world. And there’s nothing I can do anymore. I no longer have a choice.”

He walked over to one of the overseers, and looked over to see his name tag. “Jim huh? At least it’s easy to remember.” He thought. “What is the current progress?” He asked as Jim turned around. “Oh, sorry. Kinda hard to hear you in here. What did you need Sir?”

Tannor sighed. “I would like to know the current progress.” Jim leaned over to hear him over the machinery. “What? Oh yeah. We’re currently about halfway done with the order. We’re running around the clock on this one. I’m sure you know why.” He chuckled. Tannor did not. He knew what Jim meant, and he was usually on the receiving end of it.

He nodded to Jim and walked off. Then noticing a few soldiers standing over at the doorway, watching the process with skeptical looks. He walked over to them and they stood to attention. Tannor couldn’t help but feel a little pride, he was rather important here. But then that all faded when he remembered what it was that he was helping with.

He turned to them. “At ease soldiers.” He said, and they loosened up a bit. “I couldn’t help but notice how you were watching the process here.” He said. “Is there something you don’t like about it?”

They sort of looked away and shuffled around uncomfortably. “Well?” He asked again.

One of them looked up. “I just don’t like the concept of this.” He said. “I know I could get in big trouble for saying that, but this idea here? It just doesn’t… seem right.” A couple of other soldiers nodded slowly.

Tannor smiled at them. “Well it’s only natural to think so.” He said. “You won’t get in trouble for what you just told me. It’s what you think.” He noticed a couple of them breath sighs of relief. “Gravely has them scared out of their wits to show what many of them believe.” he thought to himself.

He nodded to them. “Keep up your good work.” He said and walked off, relieved to see that he wasn’t the only one there who didn’t like what was going on.

5 hours later: The Snider household

I had been sleeping quite comfortably. Matt and Jared had left about 3 hours ago on their V-22 Osprey. I noticed it seemed to be a favorite vehicle for them. Though I could imagine why, being able to land vertically in our field was definitely a plus.

I had just started wondering why the voice hadn’t shown up, when all of a sudden it did.

“Hello again” It said as I found myself in that strange dream again.

“Howdy.” I replied. “What manner of unusual tidbits are we going to get tonight?” I asked. “Overloading oneself? Mysteriously powerful uncontrollable third forms? Or the just plain unsolvable riddle?” I had to chuckle at my own choice of terms. I have to admit, I thought it was pretty good.

To my great surprise, so did the voice. “Heh… Very nice there Brad.” It said. I started chuckling again, and immediately stopped because I noticed something.

It had called me Brad, not Lateon.

“Did, did you just call me my human name?” I asked. “Yes I did.” it replied. “I did so because this little ‘tidbit’ has to do with your human form.”

I just floated there. “What? My human form is gone.” I said. “I am Lateon now. Right?”

All of a sudden, I started feeling… strange. “Wh-What’s going on?” I exclaimed. “Your human form is not gone forever. It has only been hidden. And if you wish, you can call on it anytime you want.”

I was feeling really strange now, and I noticed a green-ish aura start to glow about me. “What do you mean? I can change back into my human form whenever I want?” I asked bewilderedly. I couldn’t really pay attention to what the voice told me, cause tingling sensations were running up and down my, legs?

I was able to look down, and gasped at what I was seeing. I was growing what looked like my legs back. But before I could check on my arms or anything else, an energy rushed through me. I arched my back and gritted my teeth, and then it was gone.

I had woken up, and was staring into the very worried looking eyes of Latias. “Wh-What happened?…” I mumbled. She was still just staring at me.

“Umm… Latias? What is it?” She just pointed. I looked where she was pointing, and noticed something I hadn’t had for awhile.

     Legs.

“OH SNAP!” I tried getting up but flopped over. This was going to take some getting used to.

I heard Latias giggle a bit. “Not used to this NEW form Lateon? Or, would you prefer Brad now?” I just turned my head and glared at her.

“Shut up and help me learn to walk again.” I said. She just grinned from ear to ear and helped me up. “Now then, you put one foot in front of the other…”

I glared back at her again. “Oh sorry.” She said. “Your face was just perfect for a sarcastic comment.” I just gritted my teeth as I was beaten with the hammer of irony. Latias however was trying to contain fits of laughter.

I eventually was able to walk again, and then run. I looked over at Latias. “I’ve had this body for 19 years. And it already seems new to me again.” We both chuckled and I headed back to the mattress.

“Aren’t you going to tell your parents?” Latias asked as I flopped down on it. “No.” I said. “Sleep first. THEN overexcited parents.” She chuckled and lay down next to me. Before long, we were fast asleep again.

What seemed like several minutes later, and my watch alarm went off. I reached over groggily and shut it off. Starting a bit at the sight of my human arm. But then starting even more when I realized that I was wearing my watch.

I looked all over me, I was wearing the exact same clothes that I had on when Latias and I first infiltrated the P.A.O. compound. “I must somehow keep the clothes that my human form was wearing when I transform.” I said to myself.

Just then Latias woke up, she yawned and stretched. Then slightly screamed when she saw me. “LAAA!!” Her Latias call rang through my ears. I squinted my eyes. “Ouch… Yeah, I know Latias. I’m not used to this form quite yet either.”

She blushed a bit and rolled her eyes. “This is going to take awhile isn’t it?” I nodded. “Just wait until you see my mom’s reaction.” She made a scared looking face. “Oh my… That should be interesting.”

Then she got a perplexed look on her face. “But, what about your Lateon form?” She asked. “Is it… gone?” I knew what she meant. “No no no.” I responded. “In my dream last night, the voice told me I could bring out my human form whenever I wanted. So I presume that stays true with my Lati form.”

“Try it.” Latias said simply. I shrugged. “Why not?” I started concentrating, then realizing that I didn’t know what to concentrate on. “How about this?”

I started thinking of my Lateon form, what it looked like, how I felt in the form. Nothing.

I tried everything I could think of and looked over at Latias. “I have no idea how to do it.” I said sheepishly. She just looked blankly at me, and then smiled. “Well I’m sure you’ll figure it out soon!” I couldn’t help but find some sort of pleasure in her optimism.

“Come on, let’s go show your parents.” Latias said as we headed upstairs. I walked into the kitchen where my mom was sitting. She was facing away from me as I walked in, and I just acted like nothing ever happened.

She looked up and saw me. And for a second there, I was worried that she had died of a heart attack as she just stared at me. “B-Brad?…” She stuttered. “Yes mom.” I said. “It’s me.” She ran around the counter and hugged me, crying softly.

I stood there surprised for a second, and then started just patting her on the back. “It’s okay mom, it’s okay.” I said. She let go of me and looked me over.

“H-How? What did you do?” I just shrugged. “I have no idea. I just had a dream and the voice that had been guiding me said I could change back into my human form whenever I wanted. The thing is though. It didn’t tell me how to switch between my different forms.”

My mom just put her hands on her hips. “Well I think I prefer you this way!” I chuckled and rolled my eyes. “Well if you insist.” Just then Latias opened the fridge. “Enough talking, I’m hungry.” She said. I laughed and mom looked at me strangely. “Your pet is digging through the refrigerator and that’s funny?”

I spun around facing her. “SHE IS NOT A PET!!” I yelled, then realizing what I had just done. Both my mom and Latias were staring at me. “I-I’m sorry…” I said as I looked away. “I shouldn’t have bursted out like that…”

My mom was just looking at me, and then Latias rather strangely. “That was an awfully protective outburst Brad…” She said. I sheepishly looked away. “Yeah… I’m sorry. It’s just… Me and Latias are really good friends, that’s all.”

She just nodded and walked back around the counter, picking up her chair that she had knocked over when she jumped off it.

I looked over at Latias. “Just really good friends huh?” She asked. I looked away. “Yeah, yeah, yeah. I just don’t know how she’d take to… Well you know.” Latias just nodded. “I understand. It’s not exactly the kind of relationship you’d expect.”

We ate our breakfast, then headed outside. I took my Lasyrblades so I could get used to riding them again.

I connected them together and they started hovering. “Well, this is going to be a change.” I said as I stepped on them. I was still a bit wobbly, but soon I was zipping around the yard like I had just done it yesterday.

I aimed up and flew higher and higher. Latias was right beside me smiling. I couldn’t tell if it was because we were flying together, or humor from my dependency on the Lasyrboard.

“All right.” I said. “Let’s see if I can remember how to use this thing correctly.” I shot off fast and lowered my body down for aerodynamics. Before long I estimated myself going about 90 mph. The wind was buffeting me pretty bad, and I reached my hand out in front of my eyes to help shield them.

I was thinking about how cool it would be if I could create a force shield around myself like when I was Lateon. When all of a sudden, I had just that. A force shield around myself like when I was Lateon. And needless to say, I was surprised.

Latias was flying beside me and looked at me strangely. “Brad? Are YOU doing that?” I just nodded. Then another thought hit me. I should still be able to manipulate the shield shouldn’t I?

I then morphed the shield into a more aerodynamic shape and smiled. I could now go faster. I pushed it harder and shoot ahead at about 213 mph now. And I was liking it.

We eventually turned around and headed back to the house. When we got back I hovered down into the yard and hopped off the board, flipping it into the air as I disconnected it. And then catching the blades and slipping them into their sheaths. “Show off.” Latias said as I grinned over at her.

“Hey Latias?” I said. “If I can create force shields even when I’m human now, then shouldn’t I have some other of my skills?” We both looked at each other. I then looked over at our decorative rock bed and concentrated.

The rocks started lifting into the air. I grinned back at Latias. “Ok, now THIS is cool! I have telekinesis when I’m Lateon AND when I’m human!”

I set the rocks back down and looked towards the woods. “I wonder…” Latias looked curiously at me. “You aren’t going to are you?” She said nervously. I just grinned and held my hands out while concentrating.

Energy Spheres began charging in my palms.

“No way…” I said as I launched one into our pond next to the woods. It created a massive splash and scared the living daylights out of the horses. My mom burst out the door and looked over at me.

“WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU DOING?!” Then she saw the Energy Sphere still levitating in my hand and gasped. I looked up at her. “Apparently I have some skills that have carried over from my other form.”

She just stared at me and I grinned back at Latias. “This should make things a bit more interesting.” She just shook her head. “Yeah… But how will this affect our attack on the P.A.O.?” And that’s when it hit me.

“You’re right.” I said. “How will this affect our attack?”

FINALLY! The 24th installment of The Commission Chronicles!

I offer my deepest apologies to my fans for the excruciating wait. :(

I just for some reason have hit a major writers block or something. I haven't had the urge to write very much at all.

I do plan on never taking this long for a chapter again though.
I'll try my best to get them done in a reasonable time.

But until then you have yet another chapter to keep you occupied for ohh...
10 minutes maybe? :XD:

I've thrown in a few things not yet seen here. Such as P.A.O. soldiers questioning the logic behind this whole thing. ;)

Expect many more twists to come.

Do enjoy! :D

Here's the link to the rest of The Commission Chronicles. ;)

I DO NOT OWN POKEMON, LATIAS, LATIOS, OR THE CONCEPT OF EON POKEMON!

I made this purely for the enjoyment of myself and others. The story, plot, and Lateon are (c) of me, =Vypor.
